Print Listings is back and is going to be better than ever with news, reviews, commentary and of course, free classifieds where you can buy, sell or trade your printing and packaging machinery.

You may have noticed that the site has been fairly inactive recently in the news department. Well we are pleased to announce that we have completely revamped our operations and have appointed a general manager, two new journalists, an advertising manager and a public relations manager to take the workload.

Firstly we would like to welcome Melissa Eckman as our new general manager. Based in Thailand, Melissa has twelve years experience in the printing industry and fifteen years experience working with trade publications. Congratulations on your new role Melissa.

Our two journalists, David Hockley and Stephanie Bain will be working seven days a week to cover all of the latest stories as they break and they will also be writing commentary on the printing and packaging industry. David and Stephanie will also be working with our sister publication Pack Print News and will be sure to breath new life into that online publication.

Cathy Perkins is our new advertising sales manager and she brings several important advertising accounts with her to Print Listings. Cathy has over 27 years experience in the advertising industry and has worked with the Printing and Packaging industries for the last eight years.

Jeremy Allen is our manager of Public Relations and we also welcome him to Print Listings. Jeremy will be working with the rest of the team and will also be working on preparing for our first Print Listings Industry Roadshow which will visit several cities around the world during 2010. Stay tuned for more details regarding the Print Listings Industry Roadshow.

Robert King, managing director of Print Links Pty Ltd, will continue in his role overseeing the operations of the company and will also be shaping the new look of the website which is to be launched during the first quarter of 2010.

Again, Happy New Year and we all look forward to working with you throughout 2010 and beyond.

Judging Complete for Australian National Print Awards PDF Print E-mail
Industry News - General
Sunday, 10 January 2010 21:27

Judging for the National Print Awards 2010 was held on Thursday 10 December at the Printing Industries Victorian Offices in Mulgrave.

The team of national judges, led by Chairman Rod Urquhart faced the difficult challenge of awarding a Gold, Silver and Bronze to the 'best of the best' of the top entries from each state in each of the 30 categories.

The 27th National Print Awards event to be held at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre on 26 March 2010 will be an impressive display of work from printing companies around Australia who were successful enough to win the top awards at PICA state level.

Chairman of Judges, Rod Urquhart said: "The inaugural 2009 "Best of the Best" judging provided a sound 'template' for the 27th judging-round procedures, and the process went very smoothly. Judges were able to individually assess and then freely discuss the merits of the State gold medallists before deciding as a panel on the placegetters".

Chairman of the 27th National Print Awards, John Wanless added: "We're delighted to see great quality work being presented, with gold medals being won across the breadth of the country.

The judges were full of praise for the entries and we all look forward to seeing who the winners are on Friday 26 March 2010 in Sydney".
