Agfa Graphics today announced that Douglas Printing, an Alberta-based commercial printer, has increased market share, expanded sustainability efforts and steadily gained ground in Western Canada. How is Douglas Printing able to do so in today's economic climate? The company has kept a tight lid on expenses, cut costs and steadily improved effficiency. With the recent installation of a new :Avalon CtP system and :Azura TS chemistry-free plates, Douglas is able to save a minimum of twelve hours per month as a result of the upgrades. "The new system is hands-off, the :Azura TS plates are cleaner and easier to use and there are no worries about chemistry issues. It's basically maintenance-free," said Brad Clark, Prepress Manager at Douglas Printing.
